New Twitter Background – @SexiDesign

Design is getting even sexier with the official Twitter background for @SexiDesign now live. Since the launch of sexidesign.com in early November 09′, I’ve been getting some awesome feedback on the site, and I wanted to keep the heat going with some new additions.

Twitter Background Featuring “Sophie The Twinup”

The new background design features a sexy vixenish Twinup called “Sophie.” A fresh addition to the site, a “Twinup” is pinup artwork featuring a sexy twitter bird, or based on a twitter theme.

The layout is a sexy design with “Sophie The Twinup” standing from behind a window overlooking the @SexiDesign Twitter page. Below her is a quick description of the site, with a list of the different types of articles expected here. I digitally painted Sophie to embody the same sexiness of the infamous Jessica Rabbit, with luscious curves and breasts to make any man’s mouth water…

Digitally painting Sophie took over the course of two days from sketch to final design. I learned a lot painting from just a sketch for the first time and I’m excited about the results. Sophie was originally inspired by a sexy vixen I created for my Twitter thumbnail. Digitally painting her helped me to bring the character to life.

Sophie The Twinup Tutorial Coming Soon!

Since I’ve learned so much from the design of this twinup I’ve decided to launch a tutorial soon based on the digital paintings steps I took and a couple of tips and tricks for the novice painter. I may even do tutorials on both versions!

New Monthly Twinups

Sophie is the first of a new series of monthly twinups. SexiDesign Twinup artwork will be a new monthly phenomenon here, featuring different twitter themed pinups. Each Twinup will have a caption underneath the artwork no longer than 140 characters — yeah, just like Twitter!
